1. Q. How do I find and order Toklat products?
A. There are a couple of different ways you can go about this:
  • Go your local tack shop. For a list of the nearest Toklat retailers, visit www.toklat.com and click on “Find a Retailer.” You can search for a retailer using your zip code. If there are no stores within driving distance, many are happy to take orders over the phone—just call and ask. If a retailer does not normally stock the item you want, they can usually special order it.
  • Visit www.toklat.com and search for your product using the product code or description. Not all of our products are featured on our website. For products unavailable for online purchase, please visit a Toklat retailer.
2. Q. Can I buy directly from Toklat Originals?
A. No. We are a manufacturer and distributor. We sell our products exclusively to tack shops. We do not have a storefront and do not sell directly to consumers. Even the majority of our website orders are filled by our retailers, with only a small percentage fulfilled by Toklat (and only when no retailers have the item in stock).
3. Q. How do I find a Toklat retailer in my neighborhood?
A. Visit our Find a Retailer link at the top of this page. Type in your zip code and stores will be listed in order of proximity.
4. Q. Can I get a Toklat catalog?
A. Our main catalog is very large, and distributed exclusively to retailers. However, we do offer brochures for our premier product lines. If you are interested in a specific product line such as Irideon Riding Wear or Myler Bits, call 888-486-5528 or email info@toklat.com to request a product specific brochure.
5. Q. How much does shipping cost when I buy online at your website?
A. To calculate shipping costs, fill your shopping cart with the items you want. The shipping will calculate automatically as you add or remove items. Both domestic (contiguous US, Alaska and Hawaii) and international shipping (all other countries) are shown, so be sure to look at the correct shipping cost. Your on-line purchase will not be processed until you checkout, provide payment information and click on “Finish,” so there is no risk of accidentally purchasing before you are ready.
6. Q. I can’t find the product I am looking for at my local retailer. What do I do?
A. If a retailer doesn’t stock the item you want, they can special order most items for you (pending individual store policies). With the exception of Myler Bits, any of our products can be ordered though any of our retailers.
7. Q. How can I find the Myler Bit that I want?
A. Only an authorized Myler retailer can stock Myler Bits. To find a Myler retailer, go to www.toklat.com/myler and click on “Find a Retailer.” You can search by your zip code for a list of retailers nearest you. Note that not all Toklat retailers are Myler retailers. Watch for the Myler Bits icon next to the store name. If the Myler retailer doesn’t carry the bit you want, they can special order it (pending individual store policies). You can also order from the complete selection of Myler Bits on our website. Orders will be filled by the authorized Myler retailer closest to you.
8. Q. What is the return policy for orders placed on your website?
A. Merchandise ordered from www.toklat.com will be accepted for return within 30 days of receipt and must be in new, unused condition in the original packaging.
9. Q. How do I return something I purchased from your website?
A. When you receive your order, you will find a packing list enclosed. This packing list contains return instructions as well as the contact information of the retailer who fulfilled your order. Most orders from our website are fulfilled by our retailers, and returned items must go back to that retailer. Please keep this packing list in case you need to arrange for returns or exchanges. If you would like to return an item, the first step is to login to your online account to request an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Do not return any item unless you have received an RMA number. Toklat does fulfill a small number of orders, but please do not return items to Toklat unless Toklat is specifically identified as the fulfiller on your packing list and you have been given an RMA number. Please note that shipping costs on returns are not refunded.

Also, keep any emails you receive regarding your order, as they may contain important information.

10. Q. I placed an order through your website and the fulfiller listed on the packing list is Toklat. I thought you didn’t sell direct?
A. Toklat fulfills a small percentage of the orders that are placed through our website  when none of our retailers has the item in stock. The majority of orders are fulfilled by our retailers and we go to great lengths to make sure our retailers get as many of the sales as possible. If you would prefer to support your local tack shop, please go to www.toklat.com and click on “Find a Retailer”. If you have placed an order on our website and received satisfactory customer service from the retailer who fulfilled the order, feel free to contact that retailer directly for all of your future needs.

11. Q. How do I return a Toklat item purchased at a tack shop?
A. The return/exchange policies vary from store to store. Check with your local retailer for their policy.
12. Q. How can I find out how much a product costs?
A. All products available for sale on our website have the retail price listed. For products that we do not sell online, please contact your local tack shop. Retailers are responsible for setting their own prices.
13. Q. I bought a product through your website and discovered it was more expensive than my local tack store or other websites that carry your products. Why?
A. www.toklat.com is designed for convenience, so you can easily find the product you are looking for without having to contact many different retailers. Because we do not want to compete with our retailers, our pricing is set at full suggested retail. If price is important to you, shop around before purchasing to make sure you are getting the best price for the product. You may want to use our dealer locator first, to see if there is a retailer in your area who can help you. Buying from your local tack shop will also most likely save you shipping charges.
14. Q. How can I order a custom saddle pad?
A. We make a wide variety of saddle pads for many different brands and styles of saddles, but we also make custom saddle pads, most often for unique saddles or conformation problems. All custom orders must be done through a retailer. To place a custom order, take your saddle to your local retailer. They will help you to choose a pad and do a tracing of your saddle.
15. Q. We would like to order your saddle pads for our organization or special event. How can we do that?
A. Go to www.toklat.com and click on “Find a Retailer” to locate the tack shop nearest you. The retailer can help you select the product you would like to buy and can contact Toklat regarding your special needs, such as monogramming, large quantity purchases or custom features.
16. Q. Our club/organization is having a show or special event. Would Toklat be interested in donating door prizes or awards?
A. To inquire about donations and awards, email the name of your organization and the contact information to info@toklat.com six months in advance of the show or event.
17. Q. What are the care instructions for my Toklat product?
A. Most of our products have care instructions on the tag or packaging. If you do not have the original packaging, visit our website to find your product. Specific care instructions are located near the end of all descriptions. If you don’t find the information you need please call 1-888-486-5528.
18. Q. What is the difference between CoolBack® fleece and WoolBack® fleece?
A. WoolBack® is a fabric made from 100% Virgin Wool. Coolback® is a synthetic orthopedic fleece originally designed for hospital use. Both fabrics have been specially formulated for equestrian use exclusively for Toklat Originals.

WoolBack® has all of the properties of natural wool: it has a natural resiliency; it is very breathable; and it can absorb 80% of it's own weight in moisture. These features together make a therapeutic pad that disperses heat very efficiently and removes moisture from the horse’s back. For the horse owner, no other fiber combines comfort, safety and durability like wool. It’s porous nature allows for continuous air circulation, enabling heat to escape. With proper care it will provide years of soft cushioned protection. Woolback® is the #1 pad of choice among endurance riders. WoolBack® is machine washable and dryer safe. Hose off between washings for maintenance. Available in natural only.

CoolBack® is the most widely used all-around pad on the market. Coolback® fleece is  made from a pile fabric with a dense concentration of resilient polyester fiber that is closely sheared to provide maximum cushioning with little or no matting or slipping. Hospital-inspired CoolBack® pile fabric is specifically designed to protect your horse and give years of top quality performance. CoolBack® is available in a pure white suitable for showing, as well as many colors. It is machine washable and dryer safe. The more you wash it, the better it functions as an orthopedic product.

19. Q. Can you help me choose a Myler bit for my horse?
A. We offer a unique Bitting Assistance service for riders interested in Myler Bits. Go to www.toklat.com/myler and click on Bitting Assistance. Fill out the required questionnaire as completely as possible. Based on this information, our bitting experts   will make a suggestion for you and your horse. Please fill out one questionnaire per horse.

We receive numerous inquiries so response time may take anywhere from 1-2 weeks, longer during high volume times. For more immediate information, we recommend that you purchase a Myler Book/DVD value pack. This offers a comprehensive overview of the Myler System.

20. Q. I don’t need bitting assistance, but I do have a question about my Myler Bit. Who can I contact without filling the entire questionnaire?
A. For simple non-technical questions regarding Myler Bits, such as how to measure for a Myler Bit, how to attach the bridle, what sizes are available in certain bits, email us at info@toklat.com. Bitting assistance will not be offered via this email address.

A. Call 888-486-5528 and leave a message with your business name and contact information, or email info@toklat.com. A customer service representative will connect you with the sales representative in your area.
22. Q. What saddle pad do you recommend for my saddle?
A. We make a wide variety of pads for many different styles and brands of saddles. Contact your local tack shop, or email us at info@toklat.com to find out if we have a pattern for your saddle. Please include the brand of the saddle, as well as the style and seat size. For example: Tucker High Plains, 16” or Crosby Centennial close contact, 17”.
23. Q. Can I purchase Toklat products through a catalog?
A. The Toklat catalog is wholesale only but you can view the majority of our products at our website. We have many mail order retailers who distribute their own catalogs. Please visit our website for a comprehensive list of mail order and internet retailers, www.toklat.com.
