Shim Pads
What are shim pads for?
A shim pad is a tool used to improve the fit of the saddle on a horse's back when the saddle is not a perfect fit. The shims fill in voids under the saddle so that the pressure is evenly distributed as well as level the saddle from front to back and side to side. Toklat's T3 Shim Pads are designed with three pockets on each side, two shims per pocket. The pockets are large to distribute the pressure over a wider surface area. The felt shims are 1/4" thick for fine tuned shimming.
